Station Milwaukee’s responsibilities include maritime law enforcement, boating safety, and security for special marine events, as well as our primary mission of Search and Rescue. The unit’s area of responsibility covers Lake Michigan from Port Washington, WI, to Wind Point, WI, to include the western half of Lake Michigan between these points. Station Milwaukee runs an average of 120 SAR cases each year, and conducts roughly 350 Maritime Law Enforcement Boarding’s during the same period.
