Established in October 2005, the U.S. Army Combat Support Training Center (CSTC) at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., has a mission to provide world class training for Combat Support (CS) and Combat Service Support (CSS) units and to become the best training center in the Western United States for the U.S. Army Reserve. The CSTC provides ranges, training areas and facilities to support year-round joint, multi-component, and interagency training to prepare warriors to fight and win the Global War on Terrorism.

A vegetation fire at 3:02 p.m. today on Bradley-Lockwood Road near Jolon Road just outside of the community of Lockwood, threatened eight buildings and burned 13 acres.

Jeremy Teela battled illness to finish 29th in the Olympic men's 15-kilometer mass start Sunday at Whistler Olympic Park. Russia's Evgeny Ustyugov shot cleanly throughout the race and won the gold medal with a time of 35 minutes, 35.7 seconds.
