Station Portland is a relatively new station, having been established on 18 August 1997. The station on average conducts 600 boarding’s and executes over 150 SAR cases annually. Station Portland is a multi-mission unit that maintains a one “B-0″ resource throughout the year. The station is primarily responsible for search & rescue with an equal emphasis on homeland security. They perform many other missions including recreational boating safety & environmental protection.
