U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach islocated in the German state of Bavaria, whose inhabitants are a lot like Texans — proud of where they live and their way of life. The Middle Franconian region of Bavaria is a somewhat flat, yet rolling terrain. The area might best be described as the foothills of the Alps, which are only 2-3 hours away and provide marvelous retreats from the daily grind.
